LANDR is keen to get your potential customers visiting you. It realizes that the vast majority of smartphone users search for businesses on their cell phone and, as such, you ought to make your contact with them as smooth as is possible. If customers are on the move then your site needs to be able to respond to their needs, allowing them to access your opening times, data (such as spreadsheets, menus, designs and more) and track you down using GPS. Landr does all of this at a low price and using a relatively simple design that novices should be able to cope with.

Landr.co allows you to create your website for free before you pay for the service. This is handy because it means you can make sure it has all the features you need and that you can design your site how you'd like it to appear, without having to part with any money. The system is fairly intuitive, allowing you to upload photos and insert information into a template. However if you want to create a page that isn't within its templates things can become more complicated. 

There are a few extras that may encourage you to give landr.co a try. It's been set up to quickly provide customers with key pieces of information. If you're a retailer then you can place simple buttons on your home page so that customers can view what you have on sale within seconds. They can also click on a map to get immediate directions to your offices, or to make a call in seconds. This means it's less likely they'll go looking elsewhere.

Unlike many of the other sites we've reviewed in this category, this really has only one paid package. Payment means that you'll gain full access to the features available, as well as having your site go live. Changes can be made at any time, of course, although you'll need to keep up payments to maintain your site's presence online. At $12 a month (or $9 per month on an annual contract) we feel that it offers good value for money, although it is lacking in options at times, particularly in some building options. If you want to transfer your newly designed mobile site to a desktop format then this is also possible and relatively simple to achieve.

Over all we felt that LANDR offered good value for money. However it is quite a basic set up and if you really want to go to town on designing it then you may wish to go elsewhere. This system is perhaps best suited to retailers who want to attract customers to their location and provide them with basic information on their company.
